I like the facility very much. Both the doctor and the nurse are very patient-friendly. Dr. Schermer is a wonderful ophthalmologist who did the inspection proficiently and communicated with a non-medical person like me very clearly and patiently.
BTW, I read some previous review mentioning some insurance problems. Actually all the insurance issues were discussed when I was making the appointment, during which they even got my insurance numbers. Every patient should give the exact insurance number and make sure the office accept it.

Get answers to common questions
Generally speaking, your eye exam will take between 30 and 60 minutes. When you first arrive, our front desk staff will greet you and help review your insurance and new patient registration. After that, we’ll invite you back to do some pre-exam testing. Our experienced optometrist will ask you questions about your eye health and vision, determine the best prescription for your eyeglasses and contact lenses, and examine the health of your eyes.
After we determine your new prescription, our opticians will help you select eyewear and lenses to help you see and look your best. It takes about one to two weeks for our lab to make new glasses. Once they’re ready, we’ll text you to let you know they are ready. When you arrive to pick them up, they glasses with receive additional adjustments to ensure a comfortable wearing experience.
All of our contact lens orders are sent directly to your home free of charge!
Our optometrists recommend getting a comprehensive eye exam at least once every year, and particularly for our pediatric patients whose eyes change rapidly during maturation.
Yes! Here at Germantown Vision Care Center we carry all the most popular eyeglass and contact lens brands. While you're in-store, you'll be able to try on hundreds of frames at any time.
